Riverine Woods, earlier known as Van Ghat River Lodge was established in 2003. A fishing and wildlife conservation lodge was set up on the bank of the Ramganga River near the Corbett Tiger Reserve in Uttaranchal, Northern India. Riverine Woods lies in total seclusion with the meandering Ramganga virtually cutting it off from human habitation. The river is rich with the spectacular Golden Mahseer and catches of up to 65lb have been recorded in the recent past. 5 spacious cottages with large airy windows and a veranda that runs on 3 sides with views of the forest. Each cottage has a spacious bedroom, study and attached facilities with running water. The lodge is 4 km away from the entrance of the Chimtakhal forest gate. The entire stretch is through dense Sal forests. Half this distance can be covered by jeep on a forest track and the other half is a steep downhill walk that descends into the Ramganga valley.
