India is one of the most famous destinations for birding as well but when it comes to birding is Corbett national park; it’s somewhat more popular than safaris especially among overseas tourist. There is an exciting variety of local and migratory birds. The mixture of forest, reverie land and mountain presents and marvelous atmosphere to birds and makes it favorite destination of birders. The tour itinerary that we present to you consist famous surrounding which are famous for bird watching like Pangot, Sat Tal and Sultanpur.

Day 1:- Delhi – Kathgodam – Pangot
The tour will start in late evening. In the night transfer to old Delhi railway station to catch the train for Kathgodam. Overnight on board.
Day 2:- Kathgodam – Pangot
In the early morning you will arrive at Kathgodam. From there you will be transferred to Pangot. Upon Arrival at Pangot, check in at hotel, which is already booked for you. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3:- Pangot
In morning after breakfast, your first birding tour will start for which you will be escorted with a naturalist, who will guide you to catch the awe-inspiring sights and birds. This memorable day will be concluded with a drive back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Pangot- Sat Tal- Pangot
Early morning after breakfast depart from wildlife resort and rive to Sat Tal (It is considered as paradise for birdwatchers). One can enjoy entire day exploring birds in Sat Tal, where you will have an amazing view of numerous rarest species of birds. Later in evening back to resort. Overnight in resort.
Day 5: Pangot- Corbett National Park (Dhikala – Gairal)
In the morning after breakfast drive to the national park, en-route we will visit Mongoli Valley for a quick bird watching will be scheduled. Later drive to the park. At here you will be checking in Dhikala/Gairal forest lodge. Which is almost 31 Kms is inside the park The sight of the lush green forest with its numerous flora and fauna will chase away all the fatigue of the journey. Overnight at lodge.
Day 6: Corbett Tiger Reserve (Dhikala – Gairal)
In the morning after breakfast we will go a full day jeep safari. You will be spent exploring the place and enjoying a bird watching walk in the park. The lower jungle track along the Ramganga River is an award winning site for bird watching as it is a hub of various water birds such as river lapwings, waders, mergansers etc . A visit to the grasslands which is another centre of various species such as long- tailed nightjar, jungle owlet, spot- bellied owl, common stonechat, black francolin, purple and crimson sunbird, golden- fronted and orange- bellied leaf bird, black shouldered kite, hen harrier, changeable hawk- eagle, chestnut- tailed starling etc. Return to the Dhikala forest lodge for relaxation. Overnight at lodge.
Day 7: Corbett Tiger Reserve (Dhikala – Gairal)
In the early morning bird watching tour will be started with a royal elephant safari to guests through the mesmerizing grasslands and dense forests. Later back to lodge to have your breakfast. You can have a trip to the watchtower which gives a splendid view of the verdant environs of the place. You can visit some of the best birding areas of Dhikala such as Sambhar Road and Khinanauli to see slaty woodpecker, great hornbill, puff- throated babbler, white- rumped shama, pallas’s fish eagle etc. In the evening back to lodge. Overnight at lodge.
Day 8: Corbett Tiger Reserve (Dhikala – Gairal) – Ramnagar
In the morning after breakfast, you will explore the scenic view of the Kumeria River for tawny and brown fish owl. Other species that is possible to be seen are Asian barred owlet, plumbeous redstart, brown dipper, crested tree swift, spangled drongo, blue bearded bee- eater etc. In the afternoon check out from the lodge, and drive towards Ramnagar , enroute you will be spent enjoying birding near Garjia temple at River Kosi and transfer to resort. Overnight at resort.
Day 9: Corbett- Delhi
In the morning after breakfast your Bird Watching tour Package will be planned for a morning drive to Jhirna Range. Later back to resort and check out from the resort. And then drive to Delhi.Upon arrival at Delhi, check in into the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Delhi- Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary- Delhi- Departure
In the morning after breakfast drive towards Sultanpur bird Sanctuary. You will enjoy half day excursion in the sanctuary enjoying bird watching. You can view here migrated Siberian birds in the winter. In the evening drive to Delhi International Airport to catch the flight for onward destination. |
